Greg Bowles – President

Mr. Bowles leads all efforts of Sage Midstream.  He was previously Executive Vice President of Energy Transfer and head of the Lone Star NGL, LLC division, where he was responsible for all commercial and development activities. Prior to Lone Star, he was Vice President of Business Development with LDH Energy where he was responsible for asset marketing and business development initiatives associated with the company’s assets.  Before joining LDH Energy Mr. Bowles had various business development, commercial, engineering, and operations roles for companies such as Chevron and Natural Gas Clearinghouse.  Mr. Bowles has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tulsa.


John Steen – Vice President of Business Development

Mr. Steen oversees all business development activities of Sage.  He was previously Director of Commercial for Lone Star NGL, LLC where he was responsible for commercial and development activities around gas processing, NGL transportation, and NGL fractionation assets.  Prior to Lone Star, he was Director of Business Development with LDH Energy, where he had similar responsibilities.  Before joining LDH Energy, Mr. Steen worked for Lewis Energy Group and the Atlantic Trust division of Invesco.  Mr. Steen has a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from Vanderbilt University, an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in International Studies, and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is also a CFA charterholder.


Nick Cocavessis – Vice President of Engineering & Operations

Mr. Cocavessis is responsible for all engineering and construction activities for Sage Midstream.  He was previously Vice President of Pipelines & Terminals for Audubon Engineering and Midco Field Services. Prior to Audubon, he was Vice President, Engineering & Construction with LDH Energy, where he provided engineering services and project management for all of LDH’s assets.  Prior to joining LDH Energy, Mr. Cocavessis founded Enatech Inc., a consulting firm offering project, operations and construction management to the energy sector, and had various leadership positions in engineering and construction project management roles for AEP, Enron, and Fluor.  Mr. Cocavessis has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.


Vlad Klenikov – Vice President of Finance

Mr. Klenikov heads all corporate finance, capital markets, treasury and accounting activities at Sage. He was previously a principal investor in global commodities sectors with Altera Capital, an EM-focused hedge fund, and Ospraie, a New York-based commodities investment firm. Prior to Ospraie, he was Vice President with Goldman Sachs’ Natural Resources investment banking group in New York, where he executed multiple M&A, debt and equity financing transactions in North American midstream and downstream energy sectors. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Klenikov held various professional accounting positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Klenikov has a B.A. in International Business and Economics from the State University of Management in Moscow, Russia, and an M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA, UK).
